Yes every minecrafter has to punch a tree once they begin minecraft, but the first thing you should make after you make a crafting table is the wooden axe. Why must you create the wooden axe? Because the DNS tech pack has a mod called TIMBER. The TIMBER mod allows you to cut a whole tree down with just a wooden axe!
You must then cut down a few trees down in order to build a nice little shelter before the nightime comes. You don't want to be too picky when it comes to building shelters, so for now you will want to build a 8 block by at least 3 block high house out of wood. It's a small house and theres not much room for jumping, I know but at least it will protect you from the creatures of the night. Now if you do want to skip making the house and make it TEMPORARILY in a small hill that would be fine as well. Now you must complete 2 more steps before the 1st day of your DNS tech pack survival ends.
Step 2 a. FIND COAL
Yes it's always that MAD dash for coal isn't it? What minecraft day would it be without having to look for coal on your 1st day of minecraft. You do not want to spend your first night in the dark right? RIGHT?! Good! Now quickly make a wooden pickaxe and go hunt for some coal! If theres no coal in the general vicinity, you MUST skip to step 2 b.
Step 2 b. MINE STONE
Yes it's your only option now. You must quickly mine at LEAST 8 stone before the day ends. Why must you grab 8 stone? Because to make CHARCOAL of course! Charcoal can be substitued for coal in almost all cases of making torches! But you must also have at least 4 wood, not wooden planks! You can use wooden planks to fuel the furnace itself! Now if you have gotten your first piece of charcoal! Now is the ideal time for you to make a torch and quickly light up your house! As you will be most likely fighting mobs if you did not make a bed, which is fine cause you could use the Exp and the rotten flesh from zombies, bones from skeletons and string from spiders.
Step 3. Mark your house
Now normally in minecraft, you wouldn't be able to set the waypoints to your house and other important locations. But luckily, the DNS tech pack comes with REI'S MINIMAP which we will be putting to great use in the future of your tech pack survival days! You should open up your minimap, then go to waypoints and set your home as a key waypoint. Now before your first minecraft day ends and your first minecraft night begins, if you desire, you can turn off MO'CREATURES because your house will probably get bombarded with werewolves, ogres and wraiths if you have it on a high difficulty. Now you can turn their spawning off but really, it's not that fun. So now that your in your little house, you must survive the first night of minecraftia on your own! Tommorrow we shall continue your tech pack experiences!

I only obtained iron armour, and 2 diamonds. When i pressed X to see all the ores, there were no diamonds.

This next bug does not matter if you have a pet out or not. If a pet is out the option will be on the bottom and if the pet is not out then this will be the only option. when clicking this option the box will show: .
